Taylor Gersbach is a working artist and musician in Oakland, California. Originating from the Heart of Texas, she is a graduate from California College of the Arts with an Individualized Degree (BFA 2015). She focused her education in Sculpture and Community Art; bridging the divide between building objects and building communitas. Her focus left her with the passion to bridge the gap between music and art through making instruments and community organization, of which can be demonstrated by her thesis exhibition, The Jangle Orchestra. Tay’s work ranges within the many multi-facets of craft mediums, music, performance, art education and event coordination.
Currently, Taylor has established herself within local Bay-Area endeavors. A few of the latest include: Art Directing the monthly arts and music event, Mixed Media Mixer, of Berkeley, CA, working with local Oakland-based Non-Profit Organization, Thingamajigs, as a Guest Teaching Artist, performing and building jangles as a soundscape-percussionist with a psychedelic orchestral-rock band, Frontiers, as well as producing her own music project under Tay and the JanglahDahs.
